Overview
This privacy policy applies to the SAAM PMS mobile application ("Application"), created by SAAM Property Management System ("Service Provider") as a business tool for authorised property management staff.
This Application is intended exclusively for use by authorised hotel and property management staff. It is not intended for use by the general public or children under 18.
Information Collection and Use
The Application processes the following information to perform its core functions:
Account Credentials
- Email address and password (used for authentication only; password is never stored locally)
- Authentication token (stored encrypted on your device using platform-level secure storage)
Guest Information (accessed on behalf of your property)
- Full name, email address, phone number, nationality
- Reservation details: check-in/out dates, room type, booking number, rate plan
- Financial information: nightly price breakdown, collection method
- Special notes associated with bookings
Task Management Data
- Task titles, messages, assigned staff, guest and room associations
Login Security Data (stored locally only)
- Number of failed login attempts and lockout timestamp, used to prevent brute-force access
Local Notifications
The Application schedules local device notifications to remind staff of upcoming tasks. These notifications are generated entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
Data Storage
- Authentication token: stored encrypted on your device
- All other data: fetched live from the server and not cached locally
- Login attempt tracking: stored locally on-device only
Third-Party Access
The Application does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No user behaviour data, device identifiers, or usage statistics are collected or transmitted to third parties.
Information may only be disclosed:
- As required by applicable law or a valid legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or security of users or others
Data Retention
Authentication tokens remain on your device until you log out or uninstall the Application. Guest and reservation data is managed and retained by your property's server. For data deletion requests, contact: [email protected]
Security
All API communication uses HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored using encrypted device storage. The Application enforces account lockout after repeated failed login attempts to prevent unauthorised access.
Children
This Application is not directed at or intended for use by children. It is a professional business tool for authorised staff only.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated periodically. The effective date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of any changes.
